Doomed & Stoned — False Gods Fuse NY Hardcore To Doom in New Music Video

False Gods Fuse NY Hardcore To Doom in New Music Video

~Doomed & Stoned Debuts~

It was almost a year ago that we premiered a track from ‘Wasteland’ (2016), the debut EP by FALSE GODS. After a positive reception and a trail of vicious live shows, the NYC hardcore-meets-doom foursome is back with another knockout punch. The new record, 'Reports From Oblivion’ (2017) is just plain vicious. And no wonder: recorded by Joe Cincotta at Full Force Studios in Long Island (who’s worked with a number of heavy acts, most notably Suffocation) and mixed/mastered by Tad Doyle himself at Witch Ape Studio in Seattle. All told, it’s a recipe for success that should endear False Gods to a new swath of fans.

False Gods are a melting pot of heavy influences, a list that includes Eyehategod, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, Godflesh, High on Fire, Carnivore, Black Flag, Integrity, St. Vitus, Amebix, Black Sabbath, Skullflower, SWANS, and Killing Joke. “The concept from day one was to create music with no boundaries and that didn’t fit in with any subgenre of metal,” the band says. This, they say, “helps us fulfill our musical vision. The goal is very simple: create good music, tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may.”

Here is the second single from their upcoming EP. The music video for “They Who Speak To The Lost” was created by No Master Studio. The new record will be available August 18th here.
